About

My name is Nick Haseloff and I am a journalist and academic currently based out of Stirling, Scotland. I am studying for a PhD at the moment at the University of Stirling in the Division of Communication, Media and Culture. My research interests include photojournalism, local reporting, artificial intelligence in the newsroom and technological innovations in the field of communication.

I have previously worked as: a staff reporter at The Transylvania Times in Brevard, North Carolina; an adjunct instructor in communication and journalism at Brevard College; an editorial assistant at the Asheville Citizen Times; and a freelancer on the digital desk at The Scottish Sun.

I have an MLitt in Digital Journalism from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and a BA in Mass Communication from The University of North Carolina at Asheville.

My passions outside of my work include driving, hiking, biking, kayaking and sailing. I love the mountains and ocean. The culture and atmosphere surrounding the areas that I live in are some of the main driving forces behind my creative work.
